We are so excited to welcome Alyssa Seidorf to the DC Doulas team!
Alyssa graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Business Management and Women’s and Gender Studies. She completed ProDoula labor and postpartum trainings in the spring of 2016, and has been a part of the DC Doula team since the summer of 2016.
Experiences such as working within non profits on reproductive health issues, growing up as the oldest of five children, and engaging one on one within her community as a sexuality educator has uniquely drawn Alyssa to support families as they grow.
Her goal in everything she does is to help those she works with feel comfortable, empowered, and celebrated in their own body. Alyssa believes the ability of growing and raising little humans is a superpower, and she brings that enthusiasm and respect to her work as a doula.
Alyssa understands that you know your body and baby best, and knows you deserve to have judgement free support in your corner. She provides a warm presence, reassuring voice, and a calm sounding board as you find your footing through pregnancy, labor, and bringing baby home.
Alyssa approaches her work remembering it is a privilege to be invited into these intimate moments and looks forward to working with families during this exciting time!
Alyssa serves families in Washington DC and surrounding communities in Northern Virginia and Maryland as a Labor and Postpartum Doula.
